A former employee, Maurice Jones (“Plaintiff” or “Class Representative”), filed a lawsuit against Saint-Gobain Adfors America, Inc.; Saint-Gobain Abrasives, Inc.; Saint-Gobain Ceramics & Plastics, Inc.; Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics Corporation; Saint-Gobain Shared Services Corporation; Vetrotech Saint-Gobain North America, Inc.; Swapnil Godage; Andy Master; Duanne Cless; Carolyn Kelly-Shelton; and CertainTeed Gypsum Manufacturing, Inc. (collectively, “Defendants”) on behalf of himself and a class of similarly situated employees. The lawsuit, Jones v. Saint-Gobain Adfors America, Inc., et al., Case No. 25-2-26268-5 SEA, (the “Lawsuit”) is currently pending in King County Superior Court. Plaintiff claimed in the lawsuit that Defendants failed to provide non-exempt, hourly employees with: (a) compliant meal and rest periods; (b) compensation for missed and noncompliant meal and rest periods; and (c) accurate wage statements.
The parties to the lawsuit (the “Parties”) have reached a proposed Class Action Settlement. The settlement includes a total payment by Defendants of $1,952,000.00 (“Common Fund”). On July 6, 2026, the Court issued an order preliminarily approving the settlement and authorizing the Settlement Administrator Simpluris, Inc. (“Settlement Administrator”) to issue the Notice.
The Court still has to decide whether to approve the settlement. No settlement benefits or payments will be provided unless the Court approves the settlement and it becomes final.
Please read the information on this website carefully. Your legal rights are affected regardless of whether you act or do not act. For complete details, please see the Settlement Agreement, the terms of which control.
